Flood Victim Rebates Extended by Major Appliance Brands
 
The Whirlpool Corporation and A-1 Appliance Company have just announced an extension of the Flood Relief and Recovery Rebates for Nashville flood victims.  The appliance rebates from Whirlpool, which began in May, just expired on Sunday night, July 11th.  Today A-1 Appliance in Nashville notified consumers on the A-1 Appliance website of the extension of flood rebates.  The rebates cover a wide range of kitchen appliances under the Whirlpool, Maytag, and Kitchen Aid brands.
 
Whirlpool, Maytag, and Kitchen Aid represent a family of brands under the Whirlpool Corporation.  The rebates will now be in effect until July 31st, 2010.  Bosch appliance rebates as well are in effect till July 31st.  The timing of the announcement works in the favor of flood victims as the State of Tennessee just approved sales tax refunds for flood victims.  The State’s sales tax refund covers appliances and other major purchases made by documented flood victims.
 
For many home owners affected by the historic flood, clean up and restoration of home and property is an extensive, detailed, and long process.  Many homes across Nashville are still in the restoration process and home owners are not yet prepared to receive new appliances.  The extension gives flood victims three more weeks to select replacement appliances and still gain from the special appliance rebates.
